Case Study
Overview
The toolkit was scattered and expensive: duplicative tools, no centralized naming convention, and a proliferation of micro preferences made it difficult to find relevant files and collaborate across teams.
We assessed which tools people used against the ones they were meant to, uncovered redundancies and workarounds, and designed workflows before creating the selection criteria. The business case we built carried costs for ramp down, migration, and adoption along with license counts. Rollout was done with role-specific training, naming and file storage conventions, user management criteria, named owners for each area, and a quarterly true-up process.
We value the privacy of the companies we work with. For a more in-depth look at our Tooling and Workflow Alignment work, please schedule a consult.
Impact
Toolkit consolidated from seven tools to three core tools for all.
$500k in license recapture and tool consolidation against a $4.5M non-labor budget.
Adoption: 100% of the organization adopted the new tool and workflow in stages within 3-5 months.
