About Friend Group
We built Friend Group out of our own corporate experience… the good, the bad, and the "there has to be a better way."
We're a business strategist and a service designer who realized our skills are two sides of the same coin. One of us focuses on the numbers: financials, business models, making sure the strategy actually pencils out. The other focuses on the people: desirability, customer needs, understanding what actually resonates. We both have deep backgrounds in operations, which means we're all about efficient, human-centric workflows that don't make you want to pull your hair out.
After we both got laid off, we decided to team up and help people facing similar challenges. Whether you've been laid off yourself, want to leave corporate life, or you're running a small business without access to the kind of strategic support that actually helps.
Consulting firms? They're great at locking you into expensive retainers and keeping you dependent. We wanted to do something different.

Business Friends, (Not) Forever.
Our whole thing is knowledge transfer, not dependency. We help you see what's working, what's not, and what to tackle next, then you keep going on your own. You shouldn't need us forever. The goal is to give you clarity and tools, not create an endless consulting relationship.
Small businesses deserve smart strategy without the corporate jargon or the massive price tag.
Who we work with: People building businesses after corporate life. Small business owners who want honest feedback and are ready to do the work. Anyone who knows they need help but doesn't want to be sold things they don't need.
Who we're not for: If you're looking for someone to do everything for you indefinitely, we're probably not the right fit. We're here to help you build capability, not create dependency.
Where we're headed: Right now we focus on audits and operational strategy, but we're building toward a community where small business owners can learn from each other and navigate growth together. Because running a business is hard enough—you shouldn't have to do it alone.
